Woodward Governors - Diesel Engine Governors
EGB, PGG, PG-PL, PSG, UG25+, UG8, UG40+
PGG
The Woodward PGG governor is used for controlling speed or power output of engines where remote speed-setting capabilities with droop are required. It is especially useful in parallel generator-set applications where alternator frequencies must be matched, or the governor operated in droop mode for load distribution.
UG25+
The Woodward UG-25+ governor is a microprocessor-controlled, mechanical hydraulic amplified, governor for controlling diesel, gas, and dual fuel engines, and steam turbines.
UG40
Woodward UG-40 governors are used for speed or load control of larger dual fuel, diesel, or gas engines or steam turbines with governor drive speeds of 350 to 1050 or 550 to 1300 rpm. Governors with lever speed setting are primarily used for propulsion engines. Dial or motor speed setting is primarily used for power generation installations.
UG8L
The Woodward UG Governor is a mechanical hydraulic governor for controlling diesel, gas, or dual fuel engines, or steam turbines.
PSG
The Woodward PSG governor is a speed-droop governor for controlling speed of small diesel, gas, and gasoline engines, or small steam or industrial gas turbines, isochronously or with droop. The governor is used to control engines or turbines driving alternators, dc generators, pumps, or compressors. Pressure compensation provides the PSG governor with the necessary stability to control isochronously.
UG8D
The Woodward UG Governor is a mechanical hydraulic governor for controlling diesel, gas, or dual fuel engines, or steam turbines.
EGB
The Woodward EGB Governor/Actuator is used with Woodward analog or digital electronic controls that provide a proportional 20-160 mA control signal on dual fuel, diesel, and gasoline engines, and gas and steam turbines driving electrical or mechanical loads.
EGB‐200P and EGB‐300P
The Woodward EGB-200P/-300P is a governor/ actuator providing the electronic governor with 200/300 lb-ft (270/400 N*m) work capacity for positioning the engine or turbine fuel racks or linkage.
